Preschool and Children's Minister(s)

Position Type: Full-Time or 2 Part-Time

Parkway Baptist Church in Auburn, Alabama is beginning the search for the person(s) to lead and nurture the spiritual growth of our Preschool and Children’s ministry. This position(s) will lead, organize, and oversee all aspects of the children’s ministry from birth through 6th grade. This role includes planning and coordinating all weekly activities and special events, developing a team of volunteers, communicating with families, and working alongside church staff to ensure a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered environment for children to grow in their faith.

For the full-time position or part-time positions, the ideal candidate(s) would be:

-Called to vocational ministry
-Demonstrate spiritual maturity from a growing and mature personal relationship with Jesus
-Passion for working directly with preschoolers, children and their families
-Strong ability to discern, prioritize and delegate responsibilities of the ministry
-Capacity to develop a recruitment plan that includes leadership roles, training and retention of volunteers

Ideally the candidate(s) will have a bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years experience in children’s ministry. While not required, seminary degree is highly valued.
