Celebrating 50 Years!  The library at Parkway Baptist Church was established in 1974, and Virginia Taylor was elected librarian. Because of the generosity of Dr. Charles Isbell, a member of Auburn First Baptist Church, furniture, equipment, and books were purchased. Three months later the library opened with 300 books. In 1977 Professor L. M. Ware of Auburn First Baptist Church set up a trust fund to benefit five churches, including Parkway, and for many years $200 per year was received. There is no line item in the church budget, but through the years generous contributions have been made to the library in memory of or in honor of someone.

On October 13, 2003, the church recognized the librarian for her service, naming the library The Parkway Virginia Taylor Library. She has now served fifty years.

Presently there are approximately 5,600 items catalogued, including books, DVD's, Bible Studies, etc. The history section includes many albums documenting the church and missions memorabilia.
